What we collect, why, and what we do not do with it. Last updated 28 August 2026.

What we collect

What we do not collect

We never see your card number. Card payments go directly to our payment processor. Far Reach does not store card details and could not produce one if asked.

Payout details are different, and we say so plainly. Stripe and PayPal do not pay out to every country, so a freelancer may choose a remittance service or a bank transfer that a person sends by hand. That number - and the rest of a payout profile: bank and branch details, account number, routing number or IBAN, your home address and phone number, and for US f reelancers a Social Security number for tax reporting - is stored sealed with a key that is not in the database, and opened only by the operator sending your transfer, with a record of who looked. That cannot be done without knowing where to send it, so if you choose one of those we store what you give us: the name on the account, and the phone number or account number the transfer is addressed to.

What we do with it:

If you choose Stripe or PayPal instead, your bank details are entered on their pages and we never see them at all.

Why we hold it

To run your account, to show your listings to the people they are meant for, to move money to the right person, to settle disputes over what was agreed, and to meet the record-keeping the law and our payment providers require of us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Where it is held

The database runs on a server in Singapore. Backups are encrypted in transit and held with our storage provider. Payment data is held by our payment providers under their own terms.

How long we keep it

Your account data for as long as the account is open. Co ntract and payment records for as long as tax and financial rules require after a contract ends, which is generally several years. Sign-in records for a short period. Files are removed when a contract is closed and the retention period has passed.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Deletion does not extend to records we are required to keep — a completed payment, for example. Write to us and we will tell you what we can remove and what we must keep, and why.

Cookies

One cookie, to keep you signed in. It is not used for advertising and it is not shared. Signing out clears it.
