Neither side goes first

The money is visible

A freelancer can see the milestone is funded before starting. A client can see nothing leaves the escrow until they accept, or until the review window closes.

The terms are frozen

A contract records the fee schedule, the scope and the cancellation terms that applied on the day it started. Changing our fees later does not rewrite your contract.

Reviews are double-blind

Neither review is published until both are in or the window closes, so nobody writes a rating in response to the one they just received.
